February 16th, 2010The Pub of the Month for February will be Wednesday, February 17 at Rohrbach Brewing Co., 3859 Buffalo Road. We will be accepting entries for our competition at that meeting, if there are any of you early birds out there. Remember, 2 bottles per entry, 10-17 ounce with no labels. $6 per two bottle entry, payable to UNYHA.

Question from a winemaker
January 27th, 2010A colleague’s husband is looking for a good local source for buying NYS grape juice for winemaking (especially for white wines). I believe he had been purchasing juice from Randall Standish and wasn’t satisfied with the quality. Any recommendations?

Sierra Nevada Beer Camp #14 Baltic Porter Tasting
December 19th, 2009That’s right! The Sierra Nevada Baltic Porter tasting will be Sunday Jan 17th 6:30 PM at the Old Toad. The Baltic Porter is a 7.35% ABV beer with 2 different molasses varieties, star anise, several European malts and fermented with a lager yeast. I hope to see you all there!
