We will be at Hazelwood Grove Lodge at Ellison Park on Saturday, October 1, 2022, 12 noon to dusk. Tickets are $7/adult UNYHA Member, $10/adult NON-member, with kids free and pets welcome.
Celebrating a grand German tradition, the event will include:
Homebrew Competition #1: Best German-style beer (which can include Helles, Dortmunder Export, Czech Pils, German Pils, Vienna Lager, Marzen, Munich Dunkel, Schwarzbier, Maibock, Traditional Bock, Doppelbock, Eisbock, Kolsch, Northern German Altbier, Dusseldorf Altbier, Hefeweizen, Dunkelweizen, Weizenbock, Roggenbier, Berlinerweisse, and any specialty beer based on the above styles, i.e. Kellerbier, Rauchbier, spiced lager, etc.
Homebrew Competition #2: Best “other” style beer, i.e. anything else
Homebrew Competition #3: Best Mead or Cider *Anyone wishing to compete in the competitions must bring either a growler, six-pack, or 3 22 ounce bottles for their entry. Prizes will be awarded for winners. Chili cook-off: Best meat-based chili, best vegetarian chili, best white/green chili. Prizes will be awarded for winners. Games: Bocce, Can-Jam, Washers etc. Basic ticket price includes a variety of German sausages from Swan Market, Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Veggie Burgers, rolls, condiments, and draft beer from a number of our fine local breweries.
Please bring a dish to pass that will feed about 8-10 people, as well as any beer you wish to share, kegs, growlers, bottles, anything.
To purchase tickets, please use the UNYHA Store, or purchase them at the August and September UNYHA meetings, or they can be purchased at the event.
Nonmembers can purchase Oktoberfest tickets by using PayPal to send $10 per ticket to unyha@paypal.com . Write “Oktoberfest 2022” in the comments section. Another approach is to ask a member to purchase a Non-member ticket for you from the UNYHA store.
